Green Walls are a piece of nature that help improve the quality of the environment and promote the optical modification of any site or space, no matter how small.

Currently, talking about these green frames takes as many variables as we can imagine, from the annexation of aromatic plants to native species. Its origin is as remote as humanity itself, but not because of their installation, but because of nature, which is and has been the creator of countless green walls. If we go back to the year 600 BC we can find perhaps one of the first systems installed to find a set of plants that were brought from the riverbank, which was found in the mountains to decorate and beautify the space. We are talking about The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, which are considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Therefore, the installation of vegetation in urban and private spaces has existed since time immemorial. At present, these practices continue to be carried out due to the need to maintain harmonious places that bring us closer to nature, and soak us in the magic and splendor that green gives us.

A few centuries more towards the current era and close to the year zero, the Roman Empire is remembered for the installation of beautiful gardens and fountains in all the known palaces in Rome or the summer palaces of all the emperors.

Now, how do you make a professional green wall?

1- First of all, you have to plan well where we are going to place the green wall. This is important because depending on the hours of sunshine we will use some plants or others.

2- It has to be accessible for garden tasks, that can be easily watered, pruned and maintained. If you have it too high you will not be able to access it easily.

3- We will also have to estimate if we want automatic irrigation or not.

4- We will need scissors.

5- We will need plants, preferably natural or artificial.

6- We should look for endemic plants, easy and quick to adapt.

To maintain a natural green wall it is essential to water every day, depending on whether you are indoors or outdoors. It is not a mystery to do the watering. Manual irrigation should only be careful when making the proportion of water, since the plants that are facing up will receive a greater amount of water than the plants that are closer to the ground. On the other hand, as we mentioned before, there is also the possibility of automatic irrigation. Just as effective.

On the other hand, having these green walls also have several benefits:

1- Adaptability: green walls are adaptable to both indoor and outdoor spaces. With any design and structure. Which means that you can take advantage of spaces. Whatever they are.

2- Aesthetics: helps to improve the aesthetics of any space.

3- Sound insulator: it is curious but they work as a plant insulator against noise pollution in urban areas characterized by the high flow of vehicular traffic or people.

4- Medicinal plants: green walls promote the cultivation of plants to absorb a greater amount of carbon dioxide and produce much more oxygen to be breathed by human beings.

5- Emotionally: people develop communication with plants.
